Just because the age of consent is 16. Literally doesn't not mean grown ass adults can be with minors. They will get arrested in Japan.
16-year-olds are considered adults and can get married to actual adults when their parents approve of this. and kyouichi is 18 so he is an adult, he couldn't drink alcohol in japan but he is not a minor anymore

Which they are not. A 27 year old dating a minor will land them in jail as it doesn't mean they can date minors. Again 16 year olds giving consent doesn't mean grown ass adults can date them. In that case you'd see a lot more cases of highschoolers dating adults.
And yes he is 18 so he can date who ever he wants as he's seen as an adult. I just wanted to clear that misconception.
i get your point because i also think that 16 is a minor but thats just japanese law and thats why its "okay" for them but i dont think 16 yo dating 30 yo is a normal thing but if he is actual adult like kyouichi thats different story although from a moral point of view people much older that 18yo shouldn date them
Girly my point is that a 16 year old dating an adult is grounds for ppl getting arrested. It is illegal to date a minor in japan! I'm glad we both agree morally that it's wrong! And like you said Kyouichi is an adult. So him dating wouldn't be a crime.

Kyouichi dropped out since 3rd year of middle school, he should be on 3rd year of high school (same age as Jun-chan/Oomaeda), that's why he's 18 and has been working for a while (3-4 years). Also minimum age for consent in Japan is 16 (〜￣△￣)〜
