rape, is rape. it was not intentional, but it is still rape. don't be so ignorant as to say it isn't. he had sex with someone who did not consent to it, he raped him.

Cocaine affects the part of the brain which makes decisions, and degrades a persons rationality. Meth causes people to also become violent and wild. So even the most gentle soul with no bad intentions, someone who wouldn't even hurt a fly, could become a psychotic and violent person on meth.
Plenty other drugs affect the brain itself. Our morals, rationality, decisions, etc, are thrown out the window. It's null.
So, the situation was indeed rape. But Matthew is NOT a rapist, because he did not choose to take the drug, and he would have not done this in any other case where he was himself. They are both victims in this situation. Already he has to live with the fact that he did this while he was out of control, completely against his will, and in delirium.

do you know the millions of people who take drugs and don’t commit rape. drugs don’t throw out your morals they just show you don’t have any. you can’t take drugs rape people and say “sorry i was on drugs” because if that was excusable don’t u think millions of people would be getting raped. being a rapist defender is disgusting. mathew said it himself he thought it was a dream the fact he could do something like that even in a dream is disgusting. keep the same energy because if you got raped and ppl said you didn’t get raped because he was on drugs it’s would be a different story

If someone is on drugs, they cannot consent to sex... if someone is drunk, they cannot consent to sex... how do you not know this? people commit crimes while inebriated ALL the time.. be forreal.
Did you forget the part where his mind was playing tricks on him? Where it showed Jin telling him to slow down / stop (something along those lines) but what Matthew saw was him telling him he wanted more?
Mathew didn’t take the drug willingly. He was in delirium due to the drug, and didn’t even willingly commit rape through his dream. In his dream he thought Jin was consenting. AND, Jin told Matthew in the recent chapter that it was not rape, that he willingly “spread his legs” for him. While I do still consider the consent itself to be an issue still, with Jin’s statement this would be classified as “dubious” now. He’s decided that he was okay with the violent sex.
Many of us here are completely anti-rape, and while I should not have to mention this, I myself am a CSA survivor. This situation is touchy and nuanced, that is for sure, but at the end of the day; Matthew is not a rapist.
Read my first comment on the thread and do some research. Drugs are not made equal. PLENTY wipe out your morals and rationality whilst you are on them. I mentioned in another thread how a woman tore her fucking eyes out while on Meth. Look that case up. Even alcoholics begin to lose their morality over time, though, all of these cases are where people willing took the drug in the first place. Matthew did not.

Matthew CLEARLY wasn't in his right mind.. at ALL. he had literally JUST been taken advantage of, while high out of his mind because his drink was spiked.. that girl was doing whatever to him, but he was completely unaware. after that, he managed to get out of there, but he was clearly VERY messed up, still.. It was a messed up situation, but he was not in his right mind.??? like why are yall calling him a rapist?
