I get it. They need more material to keep the story going. Otherwise it would be endless fluff or even boring. They want to keep it interesting. Still, I’m not sure this is the route the writer should’ve gone. It’s just frustrating, especially this lack of communication.
On one half, Onyx deserves to be alone / have a break / space if he so wants it. That’s his right.
On the other hand, on not so much an obligatory standard, but just a standard of relationship, I feel he should’ve made this easier for Keane. Given him a better explanation and put his feelings into consideration.
Idk, this is just so rocky, and I get relationships can be rocky, but it almost feels like this one is just not meant to be? The only way they can bond is as if they never met??? That’s so frustrating. It’s not particularly either of their fault. Onyx is traumatised and needs space, but Keane loves him so much and they genuinely had something. Onyx should’ve not disappeared out of nowhere, but Keane should’ve not chased him. Fuck.
IDK. I’ll probably still read this, but wait for a while until I continue because it just feels super dreadful and I’ve read plenty of dread filled works already. We’ll just have to see how it goes I guess.

Complex story lines that keep you engaged. Sex and such is like a nice bonus, but the focus is on the story and/or relationship development.
NO rape, bestiality, underage anything, generally abusive (in a non-kinky way) relationships, bi / female included sexual stuff (Just makes me a bit uncomfortable as a gay trans dude.)
Heavy topics are perfectly fine, and even sometimes good. I read grimdark shit, so if a character has or actively experiences assault or abuse, but it is not romanticized / fetishized, perfectly fine.

The first two having rape certainly makes me sigh, but I'll give them a go nonetheless, as many BL have it and it's hard to avoid. Though, the second one's art style is very nice, and character designs look to be of my taste. Hope the SA in it doesn't sour it too much for me haha. I look forward to it very much for its first impressions.
Last one looks very interesting story wise. A gritty dark plot that, from the few comments I read, ends in a feel good way is definitely something I'd like. Hell yes.

Love can be VERY strong, but he was OBSESSED. He wanted to possess him like an object. Already I’m sensing a lack of experience or understanding of relationships by these people. Relationships like that will never work out. It’s doomed by nature.
Another funny thing to me; Mental illness be damned, I am one of the most mentally ill people in my circles, but by god that is never an excuse to be literal scum. I know there’s some who are probably thinking “but he can get better!! Like near the end!!” Doesnt fucking matter. He already did so much prior to that which is IRREDEEMABLE to a decent person with their morals straight.
If you think otherwise, seek help, like seriously. You will get yourself hurt bad thinking like that in the real world. Alternatively you will hurt someone else because of your poor morals. Doesn’t matter if he has trauma or a “reason” to be like that either. There is no excuse once actions have been made with such extent.
And yes, just based on appearance, I would have preferred blonde guy too. I’m a masc for masc kinda guy, and while blondie has fem features, Myeon is much more feminine overall, so he would not be my pick based on appearance alone.
That still doesn’t matter an OUNCE when it comes to their fucking character. The story was enjoyable for what it aimed to do. Nothing spectacular, but a good read. Why on earth are so many readers here so fucking shallow and grimy though? Or generally fucking incompetent? God fucking damn.
Anyways, just a pissy ramble because I finished this, felt good, then had to see the fucking idiocy of the comments and my mood was ruined. Fucking hell.
