I agree with your point that worse stories have been popularised for the wrong reasons, however people are unhappy not because the railing was bad but how it crosses set boundaries. And while there is no wrong in enjoying this sort of stuff in the fictional world, it brings out a deeper question of consent especially when the phrase: you say no but your body enjoys it, is commonly used in justifying the actions. This issue of course is much deeper than this story, however i can' help but feel dissapointed each time when sa is considered something kinky or scandalous and hot. There are a bunch of stories that explore bdsm and kinks that have consent, so yeah it is pretty dissapointing that not respecting a persons boundaries is okay because they "know" what the other person likes.

The point isn't even "oh no it has rape :((", it's that Taejoo had so many ways to manipulate Euihyun but he has to choose the "I know what's better for you"!!! It would've worked so much better if he teased Euihyun until he admitted he liked or if he acted so miserable that Euihyun took pity on him. It's just that from A NARRATIVE STANDPOINT it's a booooring decision and kinda goes over the whole turning point of Taejoo in anguish about how much he hurt Euihyun. It's exactly bc this story has been GOOD until now that I want it to stay that way lmao

Thank you for apologising. I just think that, fiction or not, rape isn't something that should be joked about or normalised. It can have such a bad effect on those who are young and/or those who cannot differentiate between the two.

And I've had to deal with a lot of people on here who try to justify rape or belittle those who have a problem with it. That might be why I seemed a little sensitive.
