I don't think anybody in the story would take Akito to court and everybody deserves happiness. Also nobody forgave Akito, they just wanted to move on. That was why Yuki went to Akito willingly to speak to her about wanting to let go of the past (yuki basically wanted to cut Akito out of his life)
i really loved this but personally i think Akito should be locked up and not forgiven. shes a criminal and i dont think she deserves happiness after what she did
