That's what I thought, too! And why are the 7 families even mad that the Amaha clan moved places? Are they really that insecure? It annoys TF out of me.
maybe i hallucinated this but im pretry sure the reason why they have strict customs and why they hated the fl at first and also why they hate the majority of people from amaha is because there was a previous queen that did abuse their authority.
then they should have met in the middle, if they cant even defend part of their right, why the amaha clan had courage to separate themselves in the first place? the drastic change in power dynamic doesnt make sense.
well i havent read this in a long time, but building such an oppressive world for one side just to make the stage for the protagonists to fall in love isn't anything new. i will guess that they will wave the problem somehow with the power of love or something. although if i am wrong that will be a welcome surprise

It is explained in the story but your main point still stands that it's illogical. Even the "explanations" are flimsy and the ML actively pokes holes in them himself. I think this is meant to be endearing? But honestly, I scrolled past all of the political stuff after a certain point because it's annoying and can easily break apart, like clay. I enjoyed the slow moments of feelings between them but by the end of the story, even that started to feel hollow. The one thing, and main thing, this story had going for it was that the ML's feelings were revealed to the FL in the first chapter. It wasn't drawn out for 20+ to 100+ chapters of "will they, won't they."
ah yeah that was the refreshing part. i actually come to this story bc of that, now i bet most readers probably do. "reading mind" and realizing that someone have a crush on you, is always a fun premise. the one i read previously usually use it as a setting for fun comedy with a good amount of hurt/comfort as well.
but this one story just feel ... oppressive and a bit depressing. the main characters are pretty cheerful tho, weirdly enough.
the rules are illogical and the whole story relied on this to have a story in the first place.
how come there is no amaha queen who opposed to this, if people relied heavily on her power, why no one think to use that to their advantage? the amaha queen literally has them on her mercy. AND if only the obedient one who can't see that is choosen, idk why author think it'll make a good story to follow such a weak FL. obviously everything are just a plot device. i am too annoyed to even swoon at the ML. He's different from others in story sure, but technically what he did/thought was just basic human decency so he didn't actually have a plus.
other world building are also all over the places and just come one after another. i think i will only read this when i want to bad mouth something to relieve stress
