ACCURATE SPOILER. VERY LONG.

L2709 December 9, 2025 12:46 am

I've read the novel for the third time, and I have to clarify the nonsense spoilers that are being spread. Please guys, never provide spoilers without the character's POV, I see you intentionally ignore seme's POV, that's a terrible deception. I don't understand how you guys can turn a story that is both dramatic and intense, both stimulating and sweet into a mess. Of course, the dark and toxic side still exists, but it's just enough to make the reader excited. It's not so terrible that it will traumatize you. Anyway, this is a 19+ series, and if you're still a teenager, stay away from it.

First of all, seme is a really polite, thoughtful, gentle person, exactly like what you read in the manhwa. He has a bit of a hidden yandere personality when stimulated, and only with the person he truly loves, which is uke. Seme has a different concept of sex than the normal standard (open relationship), so he only chooses partners with the same taste, but these people quickly become uncontrollable and obsessive, so his relationships don't last long. But all of that doesn't make him a despicable bastard like what you guys spoiled! Please, if you're a teenager, don't read stories for adults!

Second, seme has been paying attention to uke since before they officially met. To seme, the poor uke is like an abandoned little animal, and seme always wants to treat him well, so he deliberately went to that store. Seme always believed that uke was a pure, sincere, innocent person, different from the people he knew, so seme cherished uke very much, he considered uke as the most special person. One of his lovers made up a story about uke out of jealousy, that uke was a whore, seme didn't believe it so they broke up. Therefore, witnessing uke (pretend) to have sex with a group of thugs was a big shock to seme, he felt betrayed and deceived by uke. For God's sake, if you were in seme's shoes, who was looking forward to the date, searching and booking a suitable restaurant for uke to eat well, planning a drive to see the city, finding a bar with jazz music to make uke happy, inviting uke to their house to chat, etc... Do you understand that feeling of disappointment?

Third, I have to summarize exactly how their relationship went and what both of them were thinking. Uke had wanted to quit his job at the convenience store before they officially met, uke wanted to work at a factory introduced by an acquaintance, which was very far from the city, and he would have to move out of his current rental house. After meeting and falling in love with seme, he hesitated because he knew that only by working at the convenience store would they have the chance to meet. At first, uke admired seme as a friend, he kept his distance from seme because of his inferiority complex. Seme also wanted to approach uke as a friend, but hesitated because of uke's defensiveness. After seme gave uke porridge, uke let down his guard and opened up to seme. Their relationship was going smoothly, until a misunderstanding occurred. Why didn't uke explain the misunderstanding? Because after they met again, seme looked at uke with contempt as if looking at something disgusting. This traumatized uke and made him lose the courage to explain, of course he was also a person with inferiority complex. They had a cold war for 6 months, finally uke made up his mind to change jobs and leave the city. Uke wanted to make love to seme just once, it would be a memory he would remember forever.

Uke took the drug and they had sex for the first time. At first, because of the misunderstanding, seme still looked down on him. But when seme saw uke's inexperience, he doubted his judgment, and seme was captivated by uke's passion and sincerity. This first lovemaking began awkwardly and ended sweetly like a newly in love couple. After making love, uke calmly said goodbye to seme and was about to go home. Seme was shocked and disappointed, because he knew uke was pretending to be an omega, seme thought uke did it because uke loved him. Seme got angry because he thought uke was playing with him, uke just treated seme like those thugs. So seme held uke back and they had sex for the second time. From this moment on, seme was completely obsessed with uke, not wanting to let him go, even hiding uke's phone and clothes.

The second time they had sex, at first, uke resisted and seme fucked him roughly because he thought uke liked it that way. Seme was angry because they had just had passionate sex, now uke acted as if he was disgusted and rejected seme. Even though seme misunderstood uke was trying to act innocent, he still couldn't resist the attraction of him. Soon after, seme realized he was wrong, so he made love gently and sweetly, and of course, uke was satisfied and they made love passionately and excitedly like a real couple. Yes, since then, they spent two days just making love like a newlywed couple on their honeymoon, eating pizza and making love on the dining table, peeing together in the toilet in the middle of making love, seme massaging uke's sore feet as if uke was his treasure, confiding in each other's secrets... Both of them were completely satisfied both physically and mentally. Don't spoil it like it was all just rape! They made love so passionately that uke took his last day off from work at the convenience store. Of course, seme wouldn't let uke go, he just wanted to keep uke by his side forever. After that, seme completely believed that uke loved him, they would be together, he fell asleep peacefully. Uke woke up first, satisfied that he had fulfilled his last wish, he left home, left the city to go to a factory in another city. He had underestimated seme's obsession and possessiveness.

Seme woke up and realized uke had left, he contacted and realized uke was going to a far away place to meet "a senpai" - another man. Of course, this was the last straw. He went to see uke, and this third time, he really raped uke in the toilet, uke was traumatized of seme from this moment. Then seme took uke home, locked him in the house for 3 days, took care of him like a fragile object. Of course, uke protested silently, showing fear and disgust for seme. Seme was desperate with uke's attitude, he wanted to save the situation, wanted uke to "love" and desire him like the two days of sweet sex they had together.

So seme used pheromones, which he had never done with other omegas, even though he knew it was ineffective with a beta. But this time, the pheromones worked, uke was stimulated and obediently let seme seduce him. Seme was so crazy about uke that he decided to forgive everything uke had done (of course it was a misunderstanding). They made love for the fourth time, passionately and intensely under the effect of the pheromones, uke was completely controlled by seme. After that, uke got sick and had to have surgery, because of seme's pheromones, he was turned into a "defective" omega, unable to get pregnant. Seme spent all his time taking care of uke.

During that time, seme helped uke get his salary back, sent a large amount of living expenses to uke's mother... They had a peaceful time in the hospital, it seemed like the relationship was as good as before. But they accidentally met a friend of uke's, who was a man, and of course, seme went crazy with jealousy and dark thoughts. The reason was because the misunderstanding had not been cleared up, he still thought uke was the type of person who pretended to be innocent to seduce men. He used pheromones to control uke again, and almost traumatized uke. Seme realized and stopped in time, but regret could not change the mistake. In the last conversation, seme asked uke why he pretended to love him, why he used sweetness to make seme misunderstand... After much struggle, uke finally admitted his feelings, but also declared that he had stopped loving seme and did not want to see him again. This was a heavy shock to seme, he realized that everything was over... They separated for a while, then came the process of the two making up with each other, both sweet and bitter.

To those who are confused by the nonsense spoilers, trust me, I swear you will just want to dump your current lover, then chase after the seme just like the omegas who are obsessed with him. In this case, green or red doesn't matter. In particular, seme and uke's personalities are completely compatible with each other, they are a perfect couple. ლ(´ڡ`ლ)

I also just finished reading the novel, feeling very satisfied. Maybe because I have been reading yaoi for a long time, I feel very comfortable with a sweet and slightly dark genre like this one. Even compared to the series I have read before, this one is very light and sweet, the toxic relationship only makes me feel more curious and excited. Honestly, I feel like it is like a modern Cinderella story, with a gentle handsome prince, but also has another yandere personality that has not been revealed. And of course, Inha is so handsome, the author really put all her effort into creating that face, to the point that you can't be angry at him. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I know what you mean, it is true that in recent years, the number of underage readers reading BL seems to be increasing. Actually, I also read BL when I was 13, but back then, I and many other friends were very easy to accept the dark and toxic plots. It seems like people are into sweet and cute storylines these days.

Finally, someone provided a detailed spoiler! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

I've read the manhwa and novel on RD, and the feedback has been very positive. It seems RD's readers aren't bothered by sensitive content. They understand the plot very well and enjoy the storyline. So I'm confused by the comments on foreign websites. I understand that the manhwa version has cut out a lot of the novel's content, especially the characters' inner thoughts, but it shouldn't be too difficult to understand the story, right? Perhaps it's because of the different tastes of readers in different countries, I think ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

I have to agree with you that InHa is truly captivating. Top characters in manhwa are usually CEOs, mafia, or cold, ruthless chaebols. Or people who are sweet on the outside but cruel on the inside. A gentle, caring, sweet person like InHa is really rare. So I think his possessive and yandere side just makes him more attractive, at least that's what I think, hahaha! And I don't know whether to call his super handsome face-card a crime or a gift from God!!! >/////<

As I reader mentioned in the spoilers, their first lovemaking began awkwardly, since Jaeon's lack of experience. ( ̄∇ ̄") I recommend you read the novel, because this author is a master at creating an atmosphere that is both romantic and passionate, both haunting and stimulating. The author doesn't use vulgar language or dirty talk, but you'll still blush while reading it.    ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

Uke cannot have children: Uke is affected by "pheromone-altering drugs" (drugs used by thugs and Uke's own drugs) and Seme's pheromones, transforming him into a "very sensitive" omega. Uke will have difficulty controlling his pheromones, his heat cycle will be irregular, and his uterus will not develop normally. There is no plot point indicating that Uke's condition can improve. ( ̄∇ ̄") Many readers on Ridibook also regret this. ╥﹏╥

Their misunderstandings have been resolved: After Seme and Uke maked up and confessed their feelings to each other, Uke told Seme the truth, even though Seme didn't ask. Of course, Seme regretted and suffered, but Uke wasn't angry or blamed Seme; Uke understood that he was partly to blame for choosing a bad way to resolve the situation. ( ̄∇ ̄") I really liked this solution of the author. In most other stories, misunderstandings are resolved first (thanks to a third character or some situation), and then they make up. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ But in this story, seme falls in love and confesses his feelings first, pursuing uke despite the unresolved misunderstanding. I think this is the best way to express seme's intense feelings. Uke fell first, but seme fell harder. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

    1. After officially becoming a couple, their relationship is one-on-one.

    2. To answer this question, I'll elaborate a bit. ( ̄∇ ̄")

An "open relationship" is based on rules and agreements that the participants must accept. This means you can't just have sex with anyone, anywhere, in any way. I believe that, according to seme's principles, “unsafe group sex without protection in public” is completely unacceptable.

Why is seme angry at uke? Well, I think the answer is quite complex. Before the misunderstanding occurred, two events had already happened. The first was that seme's ex-boyfriend lied, saying uke was a whore, which I've already mentioned. Secondly, a classmate of seme boasted about his sexual relationship with vulgar language, saying that all men have sexual desires and secretly want to join in dirty sexual acts, such as having sex in public, etc. The seme objected, arguing that there are men who are completely unaffected by sexual desire - the uke he was referring to. Based on his life experience, seme thought uke was innocent, naive, and pure. The classmate countered, saying that such men fall into two categories: one is impotent, and the other is someone who pretends to be good on the outside but is actually doing dirty things on the inside. Then a misunderstanding occurred; seme was shocked to witness this, recalling what his ex-lover and classmate had said. You can probably imagine seme's feelings and reaction: he thought he had been deceived by uke's appearance.

But instead of saying seme is angry because uke deceived him, I think seme is angry at himself. He's angry because he was deceived by uke's appearance and actions, angry because he pitied and cherished uke, angry because of his own misperception. Perhaps this "betrayal" was a heavy blow to seme's self-esteem and pride. Of course, this is just my own opinion. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Furthermore, although this is just my own speculation, I think he's angry because uke (pretended to) have sex with "someone else," but not with him; to put it bluntly, he's jealous. In seme's mind, uke is someone not driven by sexual desire; seme thinks uke wouldn't have sex with just anyone. So even though seme planned a date, even wanted to invite uke for drinks and take him home, just like a couple in love, seme only thought about talking, not having sex. I think unconsciously, seme had loved uke for a long time, but because of uke's pitiful, undesirable appearance, seme unconsciously restrained his desires, not realizing his own feelings and treating uke as a normal friend. Of course, part of it is also because seme is limited by the thought that "alphas should have sex with omegas." So when the misunderstanding occurs, he is confused between two feelings: betrayal and jealousy. And he didn't realize he was jealous. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Actually, according to the novel, seme is a principled person, not an easygoing one – I know this sounds funny and illogical, but it's true. He sets principles for himself and seeks partners who accept them. For his lover/partner, seme will do everything a "standard boyfriend" should do. For example, he's willing to treat his lover to fancy meals and always pays the bill. And as you can see, he treats them gently, protects them when they're in trouble, never gets angry with them, etc. In return, he wants the relationship to be based on freedom, with neither side controlling the other too much (possibly having sex with other people), and not getting upset over trivial matters. All of seme's ex-lovers initially agreed, but later did the opposite.

I apologize for saying too much, but I felt I should provide detailed information to prevent readers interested in the story from being negatively affected by nonsensical and inaccurate comments. And I think if you're interested, you should read the novel, since the manhwa version can't fully portray the characters' inner thoughts. TT_TT

Hey my dear friend, you don't even understand what SA means? Don't joke with me!!! Σ( ̄□ ̄||)

On behalf of @Lilith, I'd like to answer you. When discussing BL (boys' love), SA stands for Shounen-ai, a genre of works about romantic relationships between men, with no sexual content, or only mildly depicted. A higher genre than SA is Yaoi, which is the series we're discussing here, a genre about romantic relationships between men, with explicit sexual and other sensitive content, meaning it's for adults. Both terms are used by long-time BL readers, those who started reading BL from Japanese manga.

I understand the word "SA" you're thinking of, but you're mistaken here.

If you're not an adult, don't read works with a 19+ rating like this one. If you're an adult but just starting out with BL, choose stories in the SA genre - yes, I mean Shounen-ai. ( ̄∇ ̄")

Also, I see you're confused by a comment from @Hun_bun, one of countless readers who only skim raw and clearly don't understand Korean. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I'm confused, too. Why are there people wandering around and talking nonsense about content they haven't even understood? ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍

Newbie? To understand the rape context?! You said yourself in your spoiler comment that seme raped uke, and I understand that English is not your first language, but in international understanding it's a sexual assault!
I'm reading BL for over 20 years, I like dark series, but excusing and defending rape even in fiction is crazy... You can like characters as you want, but they did what they did, end of story, this is why these are dark series with 'redemption' (if any), there is a trend in Korean series to push rape everywhere and neglect it later, but readers should be smarter and acknowledge what is rape...

Please read the whole conversation carefully.

The discussion began when @Lilith commented: “These days readers push everything to SA Category. It's not fair for plots that are much more complex.”

In the context of Boy’s Love (BL), “SA” can mean either “Shounen Ai” or “Sexual Assault.” Since I have already confirmed that the story contains a “top rapes bot” scene; chapters 11 and 12 include “Warning Sexual Assault”; many readers have provided spoilers about rape scenes; and even chapter 0 introduces a situation where the bot is nearly assaulted - we all know this story involves Sexual Assault. Therefore, @Lilith must have been referring to the other meaning, Shounen Ai. Unless @Lilith had difficulty with reading comprehension, which I do not assume.

That is why, when @Ghosted asked @Lilith: “Because it is SA....??? Just because stories are complex, it doesn’t mean we ignore the fact that it has SA in it. Lmao”, I asked @Ghosted whether she/he understood which “SA” @Lilith meant.

The reason I asked whether @Ghosted was a newbie is because she/he reacted as though the presence of Sexual Assault in a 19+ Yaoi was shocking, which is not something experienced readers would usually do.

Of course, there may have been some misunderstanding here. Perhaps @Lilith truly had difficulty with reading comprehension, or perhaps I misunderstood her/his intention. This is why I personally dislike abbreviations - in the past, when BL forums were very active, people would simply write “rape scene” or “non-consensual sex” to clearly distinguish from Shounen Ai/SA.

I would also like to emphasize that I am an adult, fully aware of the seriousness of “non-consensual sex.” I do not enjoy, promote, or support such acts. My exchange with @Ghosted was likely a misunderstanding of terminology, not a conflict of values. I hope we can consider that matter closed.

    ///

Since you mentioned reading BL for over 20 years, I assume you are around my age and began with Japanese Yaoi/Shounen Ai manga. This conversation is between “experienced readers.” I hope there will be no misunderstanding between us.

The issue of “non-consensual sex/rape” has always existed in Yaoi, and even in Shounen Ai, since the early 1990s. A sweet Yaoi or a pure Shounen Ai can still contain rape scenes, whether implied or explicit. After the 2010s (I think), healing/light stories became more common, so newer readers often assume “BL is like that.” I call this group “newbies.” However, Yaoi with rape scenes continues to exist, and even increased with omegaverse, though they are not translated or circulated as widely as in the 2000s. In my view, Korean BL manhwa simply follows the same path as Japanese Yaoi, with more sexual content and in color.

Newbie readers often become agitated when encountering heavy content. When they see others reading calmly, they accuse them of “romanticizing rape.” But the reality is simple: I know what I am reading, and I choose to read it. That is why I thought @Ghosted belonged to this group.

In Korea, "Cheat Day" carries many warning tags. But on Mangago, it was only tagged as Yaoi. As mentioned earlier, Yaoi itself is already a sensitive genre, not intended for everyone. If one chooses to read Yaoi, one must understand the type of content that may appear. So why are there comments such as: “Why is there rape?”, “I thought this was sweet”, “I’m disappointed”, “Trash story because of rape”… when chapter 0 already contained spoilers? It is like entering a haunted house knowing it will be frightening, then fainting and calling it trash, while criticizing those who enjoy haunted houses. That is both hypocritical and childish. Mature readers should take responsibility for their choices and simply press "Back". Underage readers should not be present in such discussions at all.

If you have not read all the comments here, let me share: about 80% of them are immature, cruel, and hypocritical. The main character Jaeon was tricked by thugs and nearly assaulted. Many comments criticized the story for this, claiming it was a “cheap plot device” and that the author lacked skill. I cannot understand such reasoning. Jaeon’s situation is something that many people experience; every day around the world, there are victims of harassment and assault, regardless of age, gender, or nationality. Including such a real issue in a story is not “cheap.” Yet most comments said things like: “The character is stupid”, “I’m embarrassed for him”, “Trash story, I quit”, “Why is there rape”... Few criticized the thugs; instead, they mocked the victim. It seems they reject not the rape itself, but the idea of the main character being assaulted. Perhaps they only want flawless characters. Only a few comments expressed concern for Jaeon, asking whether he would escape, whether he would be alright, and how he would overcome the trauma. Those comments restored my faith in humanity.

I also frequently interact with long-time Yaoi readers. They usually do not ask questions such as “Why is there a rape scene?”, because they know what genre they are reading. They are not upset by that situation; they are concerned if it is written poorly. They discuss how the scene affects the story, what the character thinks, how they deal with a difficult situation, how relationships change, and how the plot continues… Some even share personal experiences and advice. I used to spend hours reading old forum discussions where readers analyzed stories and characters from many perspectives. To me, that is the proper way to approach BL - not shallow comments or subjective spoilers.

Finally, I should mention that I am able to read and comprehend English; however, my ability to write in English has always been weak and has not improved over time. TT_TT Fortunately, now there is AI support.
