What are you talking about the concept is fire but youre mad about the age gap… the core of the concept is that he abducted him as a child for debt collateral. not touching on the fact that theres no such thing as an illegal or legal age gap… either someone is underage or theyre not, regardless of how much older their partner is.. sure it may be morally questionable but that all depends on your morals.. I’m not condoning large age gaps but I’m just curious what you think is a legal age gap.. because theirs has to be within 14 years just judging from appearances.. my issue is more with the fact that he raised him (as a pet, property or otherwise) than the age gap (I say this with the fact that I don’t know if their relationship progresses before or after he becomes an adult in mind, and therefore I can’t speak on the legality yet) I honestly feel the age gap is the least of my worries in terms of ethics

For context, yeah i am referring to how weird it is that he raised the kid.
The plot is good, would have been better if the teen was an adult, but they had to make it a weird age gap (as in adultxminor) instead of a normal age gap (2 adults)
And yes, I am purposely reading mafia stories (for the toxicity), which means I know there's a lot of problematic shit that mafias/bad people do but I am specifically picking on this one thing because its the main detail in the story
we already know all the other bad things (scamming, human trafficking, drug dealings, rape, murder, money laundering, blah blah blah) they do, so its really not necessary to address it since, well, common knowledge, and everyone obviously already hates that stuff, but illegal age gaps are more normalized and socially accepted than hated, so im obviously expressing my problem with it
I simply hate illegal age gaps, there's really no other deeper meaning than the fact its freaking weird for an adult to like a minor
