it's bcz MC didn't want to change the past for ML, if he had said his real name it will alter the current future of ML. So, little /past ML thought he had amnesia and didn't remember his name, hence he gave him a name 'uju' = space? universe i forgot, bcz ML wanted to be an astronaut.
Maybe because he would prevent the fact that Ml would think that mc has been chosen because he has the same name as his imprint guide to make him forget him or a conspiracy against him or prevent him to find him before the right encounter because everyone said it was a lie someting like that in point
