Sorry dude but you can 100% conpromise the way ML proposed, doing 2 or 3 shots and mashing them up. Just spend more time editing, no biggie compared to all the time and suffering the actor and the crew have gone through already. He's having anxiety attacks daily and breaking down in tears begging you. Feels very Hollywoodesque directorial, in the worst version of it. Fuck that honestly, if I were in the crew I would've split in this chapter.

What would you know about directing tho? There's a reason monologues and one shot scenes are highly looked upon in the film world. It's cuz they're impressive when done right. Plus this is just a story where the author already had the direction of the plot decided. He's going to get over it eventually.

Yeah buddy, why discuss any comics, novels or movies since the author already planned them out. Silly take. One shot scenes are impressive, more reason to why the director sounds like a Hollywood prick wanting to prioritize his vision over the well-being of his crew and then say "I bEliEvE iN yOu" whenever shit goes down.
