It's the tension. We know he's going to find out, but not when. Their misunderstandings and subsequent growth into better versions of themselves are great, we love that. But Maxi's father hangs ominously overhead, threatening to send her spiraling.
This is something unresolved and one of things that Max will have to face in the future. We're all gearing up because we know it's going to be explosive and so much is going to happen after this reveal that we're anticipating it.
It's like reading a story about a parent and kid looking for each other. We can SEE the misses, the almosts, and we want a resolution! Let them reunite! Let them be happy.
For me it's more like... I don't like when the misunderstanding takes too long to be resolved. I guess I had read too many stories from years ago where the main plot was "misunderstanding" and it was never resolved until they die. And after their death, maybe they never find out.
I know this is not the case, and of course this is a Korean story and not a Japanese one, but I cannot hide my feeling of discomfort when I see the author use this kind of skill for their stories.
Of course the plot is going on and of course there are lots of things going, and we know the story won't be as tragic as killing the main characters, but still it is a good strategy to make people long for "the expected conversation" where she tells her husband all the shit she has going through and he explains everything as well from his side.
As I said, it's my opinion, maybe others have their own as you can see :D
Reaction for me honestly, if the ML acts like a dumbass when it comes to her trauma, would be a turn off for most and the story would go under, but if they give us a good one then most would continue to read it, so. Basically spoilers so we don’t have to waste our time starting out good and going to sht
Ppl wants to see the man face the consequences. But honestly, I won't even care if that man never face the consequence because he's so far remove from the plot other than being the main explaination of why Maxi is the way she it. Ultimately, the main part story feels more like Maxi's personal growth and path to self discovery.
So it is annoying to see so many commenters focusing on 1 point of the story that's so far in the past.
Like guys, just enjoy the ride. This is a slow burn. If ppl are too impatient, they really should just drop.
I think it’s something that they perceive to be a big part of the miscommunication in the story, they want it out of every other plot point, but they don’t realize it doesn’t end with that piece of knowledge and is actually the major plot of the story, the actual battles are secondary lmao. Them learning how to communicate while maxi reaches her full potential and who she is, riftan dealing with her as she really is and in a way the grief and loss of her innocence is the plot, not the politics/wars lmao. This is still in my current top manhwa in an overall rating way. They’re also moving much faster than I thought through this

I have a legit question why do so many people seek spoilers and specifically about Riftan learning about the abuse? Aren't you into the actual story, you just want to see that part? lol
Idk seems weird to me
