I feel you on being disappointed that this features rape, because I wanted a slowburn, transactional sexual relationship driven by ulterior motives -> real emotional relationship development.
so far I wouldn't lump it in with other BL that use rape as a cheap sex scene/relationship catalyst or start for a stupid, infuriating "redemption"/chase arc, because the characters and plot have been fleshed out well so far and pyeonghwa and incheol's actions actually have consequences for themselves and others. still plenty of room to fumble and ch. 20 has already revealed that some commenters have a poor understanding of consent, but it could still be worthwhile. I can handle rape and abuse being featured in a story that takes it seriously, but I get not wanting to deal with that.
totally understand people dropping this, regardless, because it seems like straightforward non-criminal smut with good art and writing is kind of a rarity.
I just feel these rape and nonconsensual scenes have became so popular and normalized I almost forgot the last time I read a manhwa that had them developing feelings then going at it or at least a decent fwb wo violence and abuse

For real! I was expecting something more profound and well developed, but all we got was some more slop founded on recycling cliches and rubbish plot devices.. The only thing this story has going for it atp is the art. And for people to come out here and TRY to defend "rape/non-con" in manhwas like these need to reconsider the shit they're reading because come on.. It's not a plot device, it's just an overused technique employed to attract lust driven, porn addicted, and horny audiences like the majority of yaoi consumers
