It IS odd. It almost feels like the teacher is being hand-held through her guilt here. She's the grown adult, who's done damage to the students and is now being comforted by them lol
I am buffled as well like it is indeed odd. the only good thing about this, she apologized but I hoped that's it but for real, she should be the one comforting her students after the whole fiasco of her being an ass for the last few chapters though. Its like portraying how an adult like her was humbled by the younger ones that has more empathy than her.
She is. Because only someone who hadn't hardened into an adult yet could get to her.
But does anyone else think it's odd that the students are consoling a teacher to this degree? I'm not saying they need to be rude or dismissive of her thoughts and feelings or anything. It just feels like they're doing a lot to assuage her guilt.
