It feels worse because like lapis the strongest red dragon in history has 2 spirit kings and a demon god protecting him but okal is alone and feels insecure and guilty at the bottom of the ocean.
Why does the strongest dragon in history need 3 guards while the blue dragon who is stated as being the weakest pillar of the 4 pillars is left alone and abandoned when we already know they are mentally and emotionally unstable AND vulnerable, ALL OF THIS COULD have been prevented if literally the earth spirit king or the demon god of retribution were there with okay but it was left as a “oh the blue dragon just died wow even in death they are pathetic” which is like one of the first times the water spirit king we all love is almost celebrating someone death.
Literally one guard one spirit king or demon god or even just a human COUKD have kept okay the blue dragon pillar safe.
The whole plot relies on lapis being surrounded by people to protect him when he needs no protection because the f a SINGLE person was with okay it would be fine HECK LAPIS IS THE REASK. OKAL WASNT WITH THE SPIRIT KING IF LAPIS WASNT AN ASSHOLE THE PURIFUCATION ARRAY WOULD GAVE WORKED!!!

It’s been a while since I read that chapter, but I remember them mentioning that they hid Okal on purpose to prevent others being used to find them. They kept him by himself so Karyuan wouldn’t use the others guarding him to find him. Lapis needed more protection because he was the main pillar and on top of that, he was defenseless while he was the pillar. He wasn’t being hid like Okal was.
