Yeah, you're right with that lol. So maybe "cancel" wasn't the word here? xd But I'm referring to those who jump into manhwas labeled as psychology, horror, drama etc and then try to censor their depictions. Comments are fine if they're for analysis. I just don't like it when they try to hunt down readers; nothing's worse than puritans seeking social justice for no reason in a obvious toxic yaoi...
Seriously you are the only one with sense in here, idk why these commenters aren’t acting like there’s 50 other comics being spat out of with the same rape plot everyday. A story being about masochism ≠ a story being about rape, masochism is a consenting practice !! And you guys know fully well, these comics need to be honest with saying what the genres are.
seriously! some of us want variety! we can have a complex or complicated story/relationship that doesn't feature rape or sexual abuse between the mcs. look at wet sand! there are other conflicts! couple years back there was all this stuff about kink and bdsm not being abusive by default, but here all these people go conflating them...
it's kind of stunning how some people seem to have uncritically accepted rape/SA as standard inclusions in BL. just because it's common doesn't mean you can't criticize its inclusion in a story.
Yep, and a lot of mgo users are just okay with abusive plots because they don’t like criticism. Crazy users in here causing a commotion, are acting like they’re the ones MAKING the comics. Plus comics can have rape, but go about in a way that is respectful,, and doesn’t just smear over that because the characters are hot. A lot of ppl in here r just comfortable with reading reading thrash
Bro I’m just saying it isn’t ok bruh like I’ve read worse, I’ve read shit where the rape doesn’t seem just added I understand what he’s been through but in no case is rape acceptable and his backstory is sad but for you to sit here dismiss what he’s done cause of a sad story it’s not ok and that’s what half the comments are doing, they literally forgot what he did bruh
Honestly. I will say that it’s valid complaint (about repetitive rape tropes), but the insulting others part is very unnecessary and uncalled for. OP was simply stating what the story showed and implied.
People can choose to NOT engage with these fucked up tropes. There’s many BLs without rape, BL is a vast category and is not filled with rape. There’s novels as well, imo much better and word building plot, minimal to good smut without rap if that’s what they want. It’s wrong when we engage with the stories and label others as a rape apologist/“gooner”, just for reading these dark themed stories.
If you like thinking that way, go ahead. Tomorrow you'll be telling people not to watch murder documentaries because it makes them potential psychopaths? Go ahead. I don't give a shit. I'm an adult reading mature content, so I can separate fact from fiction in this case. R#pe doesn't turn me on perse. Yeah, I like reading stories knowing that it contains death, manipulation, r#pe, because the dynamics of these relationships are formed based on that. But if you don't like reading dark themes, you'll read fluff, it's simple. Actually, I like both. XOXO.

Why are we acting so shocked that there’s noncon in a story about a heavily masochistic rape victim who’s in a power dynamic with someone who reminds him of his abuser? The story was hinting and building up to this the entire time.
