Buckle up, it's a whole novel spoiler (w/ some parts excluded ofc)

I got intrigued and I think it was worth it? 7.5 - 8/10 I would like to clarify that I hate the ML until the end and out of all the characters here, he is the WORST. Mc is dumb but I can never get mad at him.

I think the greatest thing in this manhwa is how they are each other's first in everything - kissing, s*x, love, torture heartbreak and how the subplot/side characters are very complex and enjoyable.

ML (Yoon-sa) - If you imagine a cold, violent, psychopathic, racist murderer, that is him. He has been a psycho since his birth. He is cold and feel hatred towards his parents, but he hates Yokai race the most. They are a threat that bewitch/ eat people. He has been killing and hunting them nonstop ever since he knew how to hold a blade. He even views them as animals to be slaughtered, NO MATTER THE AGE. He also murders people who get on his bad side with NO HESITATION. His parents are a mess, his mom fell for a Yokai and had a child, father got crazy, killed the yokai which made mom self-delete, which made dad self-delete. He felt nothing, just annoyed with the whole drama. He's very intrigued with MC because he's so naive and stupid, but he talks back no matter how scared he is. He begins to feel things for literally the first time and he can't comprehend it. I truly believe that if he had a proper adult figure in his life, he would understand his feelings more and maybe become a teeny less violent psycho because during the rough times with Mc, his "friends" gave him only ONE advice each (he only has 2 "friends") and he actually listened to it immediately.

MC (Eun-oh) - Very funny, unfiltered, pure idiot who talks back. He has never been around people before so he never understand anything unless you spell it for him. He has a secret and his his mom helped to hide it. He never knew and never identified as a Yokai and when he discovered he was, he denied it so much that he was willing to sand his horn (extremely painful since their horns are like organs to his kind) to remain human. He is detached from his own kind, so to him, they are no more than strangers, and rarely affects him when he discovers Ml kills his kind. He draws in so many people even when doing nothing because the Yokais are naturally attractive and humans feel instinctively drawn towards them, be it romantic, sexual, or platonic. His only instinct is to eat so he won't die. Similar to Ml, he also falls in love but cannot comprehend it though he is more vocal.

Kanghee - personal servant, a really complex character
Yohwan - Body guard, a good guy.

Ml friend:
Crown prince - Great guy, If he was a political candidate in my country I would vote him if he's not friends with Ml.
Jeon Su-Gyeom/ JSG - Intellectual hoe with a secret golden heart only problem is he's friends with Ml.

Mc pet:
Yeoul - Talented fox who comes clutch everytime.

So, I'll start where they had their first time. There was a party and Ml gets visited by one of his friends - JSG then gets drugged by a courtesan. Ml warns Mc to go away multiple times cuz he's drugged up and knows he will hurt the Mc but Mc won't go away. They end up having a painful (for mc) first time, and it took a while for it to be pleasurable. Ml gets addicted to the feeling but lets Mc rest and get treated for a few weeks before doing the deed regularly. This halts his Yokai-hunting escapades. He warns Mc to never lie and never run away from him. While they were becoming really active in bed, feelings developed and so does Mc's horn. He realizes he is a Yokai and hides his identity which Kanghee discovers it and uses this info. to threaten MC to move him on a Yokai village. This happens while Ml was away hunting down a specific Yokai village. This is where you will see how brutal he is. I FUCKING HATE HIM. He returns and finds out Mc ran away; he is furious but finds out MC is with JSG. There, we see how emotionally mature this guy is, offering tips to further Ml and Mc's relationship. He suggests that Ml should be nicer to Mc and Ml actually listens but was still mad, so he ignores the Mc for a bit to think about what to do. Mc misunderstands being ignored so he requests to be punished. Ml punishes Mc through s*x. Mc kinda gets traumatized and scared but he bounces back because, according to him, he did request to be punished. Ml warns him again to never lie or run away ever.

Along the way, we meet the Crown Prince who actually sees Yokai as equals. He sees them as fellow humans. Ml saved his life from the emperor. Here we discover that Ml was a loyal weapon for the emperor in wars, Yokai eradication, etc. He did not kill the Crown prince because they don't really have beef and he's kinda tired of the emperor because he was crazy and kinda reminded him of his dad. In the present day, Ml holds a trial because there was someone snitching to the Yokais in his house and for the framed theft against Mc - it was Kanghee. We discover that he is a Yokai and that Yohwan the bodyguard loves him. Ml kinda knows that he's a Yokai but has no physical proof. So he gets kicked out but later returns and kidnaps Mc with other Yokais to show him what Ml did to his hometown.

In the mountains, Kanghee told his story. For the Yokai, every other Yokai is a family even if they're not blood related. So the Ml just murdered every family member Kanghee has. We discover that Ml's dad melted Kanghee’s dad with iron and cut it to serve as trophies, then he melted his wife's body with iron and forged a sword out of it. The sword is what Ml uses to kill Yokais and Kanghee wants revenge for all the Yokai Ml killed. Mc, being detached from the Yokai because he lived alone in the mountains, can't relate at all. He feels sad and scared but he still considers himself a human and does not hate Ml so Kanghee sets up a trap. Ml caught up as he killed Yohwan who tried to defend and buy time for Kanghee. Kanghee reveals Mc is a Yokai. Ml slices and stabs him and says he will torture the Mc once he catches him to see if he was really bewitched or if his feelings are real. Mc who was hiding heard everything and Kanghee, dying, tells mc to run and if Ml catches up, he has to self-delete. Mc agrees and Kanghee embraces death (I cried like a bitch here). Ml catches him at the edge of a cliff and Mc wants to confess that he is a Yokai. Ml tells him to lie and to say he is human and he will believe even if it gnaws on him later. Mc tells the truth, jumps off coz he is scared of Ml.

Time passed and Ml does not believe Mc is dead. He is going crazy with all the turmoil he feels for the first time. His hatred, disgust, and racism towards Yokai is fighting his feelings for Mc. He has hated the Yokai all his life and killing them is as easy as breathing but he doesn't want to kill Mc. He does not feel remorse or guilt towards Mc or other Yokai, he just can't bring himself to kill Mc. However, he's furious because Mc ran away gain. So he puts up a big reward for any info about Mc. He has to have Mc by his side even if he breaks the Mc so he can sort everything out. Mc is healing but depressed and scared. He was saved because Yeoul lead a Shaman to where he fell. Shaman suggested to go out of the country to get away from Ml. He does so but gets discovered by Ml and Ml tries to shoot him twice. The first shot was to remove his disguise and the second shot was to kill Mc but he deliberately missed. Mc gets kidnapped by other Yokai and used as a hostage. Ml pulls a 1v16 and ends them brutally. Unfortunately, there was 1 Yokai hiding who shoots Ml with an arrow. Mc tries to shield him but Ml shields Mc instead. He gets fatally hit many times and lost a lot of blood.

Ml gets treated and Crown Prince arrives. He is intrigued by Mc and made him confess everything even being a Yokai. At the end, Crown Prince was sympathetic for them because of their sad love story. Ml drifts in and out of conciousness and during this time, he is filled with hatred and violence; whatever feelings he had was dominated by hatred. He tries to kills Mc in any way but he can't (gauging his eyes, strangulation). He questions himself over and over why he wants the Mc even though he is a Yokai. It culminates to him repeatedly graping Mc and confining him inside the room. If he can't kill Mc, he'll use s*x to hurt him and Mc knows this (it was so violent guys omg). Mc loses his mind slowly but accepts everything because he thinks its all his fault. Crown Prince arrives to tell his plans to become emperor via revolution and he tells Ml that hatred and love can happen at the same time. He set himself and his dad, the emperor as examples. He suggests that Ml should focus on what he wants the most and cut off everything else, tells him to step back and observe so he can see the bigger picture with Mc.

Mc reaches a breaking point and he flinches at everything Ml says or does. He became so thin and depressed, laughs when he feels like crying. Ml knows it's his fault but has difficulties feeling guilty because he has never felt it before. Still, Ml feels disgusted and it gnaws at him (only for a bit). This is where he realizes that he is killing the Mc. Mc cries so much when Ml was finally being nice. Ml tries to kill him one last time but still can't so he decides to follow Crown Prince's advice. He gets rid of his sword and lets Mc go. He tells Mc they have to be apart now because he will try to remove every hatred and disgust he feels against the Yokai race because he wants to have Mc 100% as his true self - a Yokai. That'll only happen if he stops being a racist. Mc returned in his mountain hut then they met in winter again a year later and Mc had a small horn growing. Ml is not racist anymore and says that the horn looks better than he thought. Mc says he's still scared of Ml but also likes him, Ml says for they will now start dating.

Ml had long stopped any Yokai hunting activities at this point. The last ones he killed were when Mc was used as a hostage. To reiterate, Ml still does not feel any regret/ guilt for all his killings, he only knows that he did Mc wrong by treating him violently. Now, every other Yokai is out of his radar and his sole thought is Mc. THE END.

The side stories are the healing part. Ml is still a psychotic violent killer but its now redirected towards humans lol. Also JSG gets together with a single father Yokai and becomes an instant father to a baby Yokai. I'll write about it some other time.
