Is there another place that also uploads chapters from this manga and is further ahead ?

yeah, though it seems like the anime has cut out a fair bit. Like this demonstration that Van is going to do w/ the shield. I'm guessing they only have a 12 ep season to work with so they're speed running it. :/

Sad but at least it got an anime! Hoping for a season 2 and some merch!! (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

And probably budget cuts so the anime is not as detailed as the manga. The manga follows the light novel
