also like the writing is good because of the exploration and the depth the characters have > to why theyre doing what they do. the storytelling in terms of plot is great and you can clearly tell the surrealism the creator references, you never see webcome artists actually utilize the format their using creative wise
I think media literacy + critical thinking are declining because of TikTok and other short form social media platforms
Ppl are used to having answers and opinions fed to them in 20 secs or less and don't really try to research the material and come to their own conclusions themselves. This ends up creating an echo chamber of same opinions/repetitive questions and dilutes the potential for productive discussion on the material.
I dont know what's worse, the thought that kids w underdeveloped brains are reading this and can't understand because the story handles some very dark and mature themes or grown ass adults don't understand because they're actually stupid

a lot of people here shouldnt be reading this story bc of how many lack the cognitive and literacy skills to understand it like so many of you are complaining how dark it is and proceed to continue to ask for an explanation on the plot, explanation on what happened with the doors (its so obvious) like legitmately why are a good percent of the comments always being like " guys... can someone explain..." or " not reading this okay bye!" like im tryna read other peoples thoughts who actually read the story
also yall really need to understand the perspective and light this is shown in, none of these things are romanticized, no ones saying the three are good people because clearly nothing good has happened to them. im not defending rape or the scenes (they dont really add anything) but you can clearly tell by how the story handles child sa/pdf, NO ONE IS GLORIFYING IT. so ironic because no one bats an eye at actual terrible 'dark romance' that DOES glorify rape and abuse....
