Yes, Alfonso and Ariadne meet again but are wary of each other because of the letters and gossip Elko forged. They clear up the misunderstanding thanks to the interference of Raphael.
Despite hating her Elko still lusts after Ariadne, and when he sees her alone he tries to talk to her but is scorned again after she apparently doesn't remember him or his sacrifice.
Alfonso and Ariadne set up a trap for him and he confesses everything, so Alfonso ends up executing him.
Alfonso's cousin, Bianca, is coming to San Carlo for her debutante ball, and Ariadne is in charge of organizing it and accomodate her into society. And since Alfonso is going to be Bianca's escolt, they are going to spend a lot of time together, with Bianca as their beard XD
All these years, Cesare has been secluded to the Pisano estate, sleeping with women who resemble Ariadne. He hears that she is back into society balls so he goes to Palacio de Carlo to try to win her back. He's angered by Alfonso's presence by her side and more so after he degrates him calling him Count de Como, when he has outranged that titke years ago.
