Tbh I don’t blame how he is. Bro looks like he grew up sheltered and never realize how despicable his father and people were until now. He’s slowly learning how to stand up for himself. Honestly I agree with you that I’m finding it annoying as well with how weak he is atm but it shows how much he needs to grow.

You do know that getting tortured the way that he was, messed up with your brain ? You can look up at every conflict (where people got tortured) and observed that the tortured person blamed the others. And it isn’t a question about misogynist or not, only few people after going through hell like the man would not have blame her. Let me give you an example (sorry if you didn’t watch or read the work but I will talk about Berserk) Griffith got tortured because of the King —because he slept with the princess so his daughter— but when Guts found Griffith along with the others : Griffith blamed Guts to have abandoned him and to be tortured, even if Guts didn’t do shit and didn’t tell to Griffith to sleep with the princess. Griffith intentionally slept with the princess and intentionally let himself getting tortured but he still blamed Guts.

I’m not saying ‘ho, he should hate her ! Because it’s her fault blah blah blah’ I’m saying that the way he thinks and reacts are logical and not confusing and incomprehensible. Because people who went through this kind of torture like him, irl, act like he is doing

His rationale fell along the lines of...

"If she wasn't in the princes life the prince wouldn't have fell in love with her, the duke wouldn't have been killed by the prince to save her, the prince wouldn't have been suspected of killing him, I wouldn't have fell for her and felt so guilty for loving the princes lover that I had to sacrifice myself to save both my prince and her.....my prince is here to save me with his life on the line while she is safe and sound.....IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER NONE OF THIS WOULD HAVE HAPPENED.....IT'S ALL HER FAULT!!!"

So ya. It makes sense why he blames her because he was loyal to the prince and infatuated with her, while only having little info on the whole situation, he doesn't know ALL the context so his frame of rationale is limited only to 2 people. Which would mean he'd have to choose between 3 people to blame- himself, the prince or her (and he's been loyal to the prince MUCH LONGER than her) so it's obvious why he chose her to blame instead of the people who are doing their jobs trying to torturing him for answers.
