Yeah. That’s the problem with new readers. They think there’s a side couple when in fact there are four main characters and the story actually started with what you called the “side couple.” Confirmed by the author. Every couple months someone has to come here and remind people like you that there are no side couple in this story. But alas, not everybody has a proper reading comprehension capability.
i dont understand why you say the story started with the side couple when it literally started with the mc. who gains a partner later on, who is accordingly, the ml. regardless of if the author confirmed that there is 4 main characters or not, im using the term "side couple" to refer to the couple that doesnt include the main protag that we see the perspective of at first.
i might have used it wrong, or not, idk bout that, but idk why ure so triggered. it has nothing to do with reading comprehension when it is common for the main couple to be the mc (who is the protag or the pov u usually start with since the start of the story) + the ml, their partner, so it isnt really a reading comprehension issue... or if ure referring to the authors notes or whatever, i clearly said i binged it all in one day and most people wouldnt read hiatus update notes etc if they are binging something. but i guess i know u said thats the problem with new readers. regardless just dont understand why ure so upset
It's no surprise that a lot of readers made that mistake because it is common with other series that the story will start with one couple before exploring the side couples.
However, this series is a bit different, because you are introduced to both couples at once, and their stories are heavily intertwined. In fact, a large portion of the story is dedicated to Geumsun and 704, which makes it rather awkward whenever people complain the story is focusing too much on the "side couple", when arguably, those two are more important to the story.
In any case, I personally despise story with dubious consent, but I really like Geumsun and 704. They have the perfect balance of situationship, yearning, and character development.
i think i get it and since the couple im talking about isnt meant to be a side couple in the fiest place, me calling them that wouldve been awkward like u said + complaining about their screentime wld be weird too. ig i didnt read the manhwa while understanding that theyre also a main couple somewhat which is why my reading experience was different.
i guess my complaint came from me thinking the other couple was the one and only main couple so i didnt like how this other couple had more screentime and deepness behind the plot iykwim which i now know is bc they arent a side couple.
dubious consent wise tbh its not a dealbreaker for me i guess it was more of since i already didnt like the couple i just wanted to point out stuff. which was my bad i think i just got too into it while ranting. but regardless i still didnt really like it in the case of this couple bc to me it felt pretty one sided in terms of yearning etc and i feel like one side didnt really establish feelings or whatnot. but i may be biased rn bc of my perception of them as a side couple

dawg i finished this all in one day but let me just say im so sick of the side couple. yes they miiight have more depth or history than the main couple but god the controlling seme was annooyyyying and i know hes having his redemption arc now plus he had his reasons but sigh.. and just watchign them have sex for so many chapters straight when im just interested in the main plot of the story is just so can u guys stop fucking for once
ok sorry for ranting i rly do like this story but im just not a fan of side couples... this side couples is okay like they have pretty deep story and all but their screentime was just way too much for me. i do like the uke in the side couple tho but the seme is just ummm plus isnt their first time also technically rape.. not that it bothers me super super duper much bc atp im desensitised to it bc of how common it is in yaoi but i just dont rly enjoy their dynamic all that much.
