I feel like it's just a game for him. Killing the herd would be super easy, right? Almost boring. Maybe he was like "Oh, a human?? Can I make this human trust me? How can I make this exciting for me? It's boring out here in the wild, what can I do for FUN?" Idk, it just seems that way to me.(￣∇￣")
