It’s understandable, I mean Taegu grew up as a mafia, yet despite that he always ensured he’d treat his sex partner as well as he can. Always wore condoms, took care of housing, got a job for his man and every time he learnt something that upsets his mans, he actively seeks to better himself asap.
And as he grows to love his man, he lessens the sex and seeks out to help him out to heal him emotionally. Taegu NEVER hurt my baby enough to leave a mental scar like Jae kyung did, in fact he basically beats himself up the second he realises he hurt him.
HE EVEN GIVES UP EVERYTHING HE KNOWS, HIS MONEY, HIS ASSETS as an apology the second he realises that his absence (that he isn’t to blame for) caused his lovers miscarriage.
Jae kyung is hard redeem considering the stuff he pulled in the start, pressuring dan into acts that Dan found uncomfortable in. He constantly took out his frustrations too. He was improving with Dan AFTER he ruins the boy’s mental health to the point of subconscious suicide. He helps a lot, but it will take a longgg time or a huge positive output from him to reach 75% of Taejus greatness.

EXACTLY WHAT I'M SAYING. he was dumb but i think him being traumatized and scared whenever he sees euihyun around any kind of water, thinking he might kill himself, is already enough to make up for all the shit he put him through. you can tell it really stuck with him and it changed the way he acts. he is not the same person he was before, and you can see that he is trying in his own way. i think that counts for something, and for me it feels like he redeemed himself, even if not everyone would agree. that’s why i hate it when people compare taeju to jaekyung. it just feels so off to me because their situations and growth aren’t even the same.
Exactly, plus if you look at priorities, Jae kyung has long ways to go before he can learn to prioritise Kim Dan, but Taeju would give everything he has done, EVERYTHING, because his number one priority is Euihyun, The way he took on everything during the pregnancy ark was amazing
