i think that isnt so bad. i was thinking a worst situation would have been something like what happened in stepmother marchen. where instead of regressing, the timeline just split and her death did still happened. imagine how miserable her parents are, to be so happy and hopeful that their daughter finally seems to be out of her shell once again and gain motivation to live just to have it snatched away by death on that same day
imagine if all the things that are happening in her life right now is just a dream cause she's in a coma. her brain is just imagining what her life would be in high school if she had the courage to face her fears.
