Do these Korean artists all use the same 3d models? Almost every Korean yaoi I read has the exact same body type in the exact same line artstyle and everything looks stiff, you can see they just traced a 3d model. Noticed this here as well, it feels like Korean yaoi became the fast fashion of the comic world. Idk it feels off and without love.

that is just korean webtoons in general, sadly since they have to push out a chapter every week the art quality often suffers.. thats also why in so many webtoons the art declines over time

so yes korean webtoons are basically designed to be fast food, people come here weekly to read their daily dose of yaoi or whatever villainess story is popular for the quick dopamine kick.. so no wonder so many of them feel stale and devoid of any life

I think they're just the default models in clip studio paint since its the most popular digital art program and they're built into the software

Yeah, you're right. Thing is, it's totally normal and time saving to use 3d models. Pretty much all comic artists do THAT nowadays and that's good for them. But damn they don't even try to add changes, that's why everything looks the same. Use 3d models but use them the right way is what I think.

Forsure. Having to live in the hell that is being a serialised comic artist, where you have little time to put out a lot of content, i get why youd kind of rush through tracing over 3d models. I also think a lot of these artists fail to understand that posing the models is also an art, and not understanding that leads to a lot of poses looking stiff or rigid. Sometimes I do wonder what a lot of these creators art is like outside of the vacuum of their own series. Before and after. Like is it that different or is it just more awkward body language and blocks knocking into each other
