Okay I didn't understand the beginning of who originally did wrong to start the curse (just wanting her to be alive or a mistake like og story ?) but look.
For 15 years he's been slowly going crazy watching her die, and for 15 years she's been going crazy suffering, dying, and watching people grow old around her.
Continuing as if nothing had happened until the Duke's death, as he intended, was NOT better. I'm not judging him, he was distraught by the situation and sincerely believed he was the only one suffering. From his perspective, he did everything to protect her, even though he no longer loved her. Yes, he could have talked to her about it, except that in his eyes, she was still the og Eury!
Admitting that the curse destroyed their love was something only her could do. No ill in her intention, she still cherish her old memory of him.
And about the end, the poor woman is just tired of having lived like that for 15 years. If she no longer even has Orpheus's love then why continue?
