Does Korea not have any other issues besides poverty and a scumbag gambling dad? It feels like lazy writing. Like, 90% of manhwa plots are just about debt.

    what can the police even do? put restriction order against the whole gang? thats an illegal loan shark, they dont care what police says or whether theyre illegally pursuing you.

    I've been thinking the same thing for a long time. Is Korea really such a backward country that it allows illegal loan sharks, or are writers just making this up out of thin air?
    Because if they're illegal, then all they need to do is report them, and the authorities should solve the problem. Unless, of course, it's some kind of mafia that has the police in its pocket—which I suppose could happen.
