So after the last season ended with a perfectly good happy ending, the author decided to revive this story for some reason with another season and its about haebom being kidnapped and when Taesung find him again he's completely different (even though he still remembers taesung). Now they both are acting super out of character and it's kinda taking away from the sweetness of the og story.

The reason they’re doing another season is because they’re in debt and neee emergency funds.
But they didn’t need to go the toxic bl route and could’ve just had like a baby adoption arc, and how gay couples are often shunned via homophobia.
And that would be full circle since haebom was adopted by taesungs family and found happiness through it.
