Yup, same thought. And the real Ulric was an adult too so this can't even be a Bobby Dunbar situation.
I have a thought that ulric isnt really an aristocrat or even if he was, he could be an insignificant son. Cuz he mentioned that finally got his chance to have a title and inherit something if he fet to marry the general's daughter. So before the marriage, he is not titled. Could be a smart student of the general instead, rather than a noble.
The story is nearly perfect. The only hole is the real guy's family. He wasn't an orphan, but a noble, an aristocrat. That means he likely came from money, so even if his parents were dead, what about where he grew up? Servants? Friends? Fellow soldiers?? Unless Ul is literally supposedly a perfect body double, somebody somewhere knows something. Oh well. It was still a fun and spicy read. :3
