Ugh, I feel the exact same way. Every six months or so I’ll leave this to marinate thinking that surely some significant development will have happened in that time, but every time I come back it’s nothing but empty calories, one time I came back to read the most recent chapters and it was just nothing but sex chapters. Where is the damn plot??? How are there so many chapters with nothing happening???
I also feel like the characters barely make sense to me anymore. Rishar went from being sexy to whiny. The queen went from seemingly smart to dumb (maybe she was always dumb though, why set yourself up for failure by trying to hide etienne as an omega?). We still have no idea who is trying to be the next emperor. The sexual chemistry is in the pits. Not much of it is mathing for me anymore, which is a bummer because the beginning had so much promise.

Why do I feel like so much is happening and also NOTHING at all. Also the sex is ugly and I’m just losing interest. Something big HAS to happen soon
