The dad was really abusive to both of them, and the mom just left and abandoned hyesung with the dad, so hyesung refused to search her, when he meets Dojin and has byul the mom finds out about it because dojin is like famous, so she goes to look for him but obviously hyesung doesn’t want to see her, which understandable, and dojin kind of forces him into that situation which is insane, and in this story he continued to have contact with the mom without hyesung knowing
Well he just gave her a house and living expenses paid, but based on the recent chapter I think sidestory ch 6, it’s states that he hasn’t been to the granny’s house in a long time. Not sure. My memory is short term right now.
A house and living expenses being paid is a lot for someone who left a kid behind, and even “slip of tongue” blamed Hyesung for not coming to find her. Mind you he was a kid when she poofed.

Not only did she put all the blame on the child. She actually did meet the dad again once to get a divorce when she met a new Alpha, but didn’t even try to see her son and even pretended she never had one to her new family.
