some thoughts halfway through the available novel chapters and a BUNCH of spoilers:

SO FAR i think go yohan is just a fucking idiot. but so is kang jun.every single chapter had at least one part that made me want to pull my fucking hair out and shit goes downhill so fast all the time, i was genuinely stressing during most chapters.

also jaehyeon is NOT second ml but that possibility and thought is something that jun himself wants to entertain, because he wants to love literally anyone else but yohan, in that moment. jun never denies his complicated feelings - he hates yohan, and he hates himself as well when he starts feeling like he's doing the same mistake he made with han junwoo again. but despite how much jun hates yohan, he never succeeds at tearing yohan out of his mind and life. he puts on mask after mask, walks on eggshells, acts brazen, tries to forget or ignore or run away, but yohan (in one way or another) is always around him.

this might have more to do with the kind of person i am, but i honestly can't see yohan as anything but suffocating. jun is suffocating in his own way, too. they're the most highschool-ish highschoolers ever.

even after graduation, having seen many different perspectives on yohan from his family and jaehyeon, yohan lingers around in jun's mind - even when jun finally achieves what he wants (though not his initial dream) and makes it into hanguk university. and yohan is there again. in front of jun's dorm room, with luggage in his hand. it's been a painful read, but it's so good.
