Honestly there is no redemption arc for him. It’s more of it “he is who he is and he found someone that loves him the way he is” which is kinda the theme of his story.

I also hated Grayson since Kiss Me Liar and doubted the story between him and Dane. I swear I started reading the novel because of Dane but stayed because of Grayson's shenanigans. Trust the process!
I also hated Grayson, but then I read his novel and now I love both Dane and Grayson, like they are such an interesting pair and it was amazing to see how their relationship grew. They probably jumped at the top as my favourite pair from this universe tbh. There’s gonna be a lot of angst and slow burn on the way tho, so you need to be prepared for that.
I hated him before too and read kmiyc manhwa after finishing the novel, but I never closed my mind without knowing the full story and others' pov. I discovered the novel he's in and tried it. Now, I'll just say that we do not need to like him, we just need to understand his story.

its just that. for me that a red line, involving animals. like the doggo did nothing wrong and if not for graysons antics (ik it didnt really happen but grayson still went with making him believe it did, and the dog was killed due to it. like bruh thats. i cant when i see him thats all i think about and im repulsed by him on so many levels. now knowing he looks for the one, and that his mother seems ok and stuff idk, like nothing justify it for me. and im not the type to forget and forgive. like i said im reading this for dane and learning more about the lore of the franchise as a whole. but grayson? can't stand him.)
Alex, the dog, wasn't killed. He was a constant character in this story and is an audience to Grayson and Dane's relationship story. That's why we should really the full story first or look at other pov. Desire Me If You Can is the center of If You Can universe.

wait, so he wasnt killed? now i am more confused. still trying to get chase to mate with him was still fucked up. wellp im still here dont i? like i am reading this manhwa to find out even tho i dont like him. like i cant really read books due to medications (some pain meds fucks with cognitive abilities like visualising stuff so for me i cannot read books anymore, but i can read comics since it visualize everything). so i am waiting for that part to see what actually happened. either way, the whole thing was still wrong. like i get it that from his point of view he did this to save chase. but there were so many other ways to solve thsi that dont involve making him think he defiled the dog. like truthfully speaking that was reckless and dangerous. like ik i wouldnt be able to live with it if i was in chase's shoes. if i was truely convinced that happend i would probably have killed myself- because i wouldn't be able to live with it. also, the way he spoke of their omega brother was concerning as well. which makes me more confused at his mother being basically an angel. unfortunately i will have to wait for this to appear in the manhwa ti ve convinced otherwise but until then for me grayson is a character i tolarate.
I'll tell you this so you can postpone your decision to really hate him or not. If you cannot forgive, then you can just understand. Finish this first if you cannot really read novels.
Grayson has a mental condition from birth which made him unable to perceive whats right or wrong, what emotions are, how to feel and act in situations, etc. After undergoing therapies and still not cured, he was taught by Ashley. He grew up watching other people, studying them, and applies them according to what he saw. All these without fully knowing why, so his actions are done without being really understanding as long as he can help and he can mingle to the society. Like an AI using people's thoughts to learn. You saw these examples here in the first chapters of the manhwa, his questionable thought process and actions.
if not for my love for dane, and my need to know everything about this world and my love for the artist- i wouldnt have read it. i dont mind reading fucked up shit. but grayson? god never hted a character as much as i hate him. imo no amounts of redemption ark would fix him.dane pookie its ok to be a hoe you still deserves better pookie.
