Ugh I accidentally upvoted this dumb ass comment when I meant to dislike it. Wtf are you even talking about? I swear y’all will do or say any stupid shit to justify Su-ah’s behavior. Su-ah scented Juhyeok without his consent for years for selfish reasons, NOT to help Juhyeok. As a result, Juhyeok is dependent on him, which affects his career as an athlete. Can you imagine if you were tied to someone against your will every day for the rest of your life?? Jfc
the scenting and the cum thing are a mixed bag at best, and whatever benefits they yield are nerfed because juhyeok never got to "opt into" them because suah kept scenting him without his input and against his stated wishes. I suggest that you look up the phrase "informed consent" in a non-google search engine. (assuming they're ethical in the first place) outside of emergency situations, even doctors aren't supposed to give patients tests and treatments without explaining that they're doing, why they're doing it, side effects, alternatives, etc., and the patient (or their guardian/advocate) has to CONSENT to said tests and treatments. and in emergency situations, they still have to get some kind of input from the patient if it's possible.
sure, suah was trying to be helpful as a child without understanding the significance of what he was doing past "being helpful", but he was told and warned off about what he was doing and (we're explicitly told!) he continued to do it because it made juhyeok physically dependent on him and he wanted to force a connection between them after juhyeok distanced himself. you can say that the scenting helped juhyeok in his career as an omega surrounded by alphas especially when he didn't want to face up to being an omega, but 1) juhyeok never decided that he wanted that for himself and 2) that's neglecting to acknowledge that juhyeok would have been forced to deal with his omega nature if he'd been able to face the consequences so oner. and it's likely that as a kid, the consequences would have been more manageable than the trouble he's getting into now as an adult who hasn't learned basic skills like dealing with pheromones and heats.
it's like domesticated animals in the wild or those newly minted adults-in-name-only who are helpless to take care of themselves and do basic stuff because their parents did everything for them. after a certain point, that "care" becomes harmful because it prevents them from building their own capabilities. yeah, juhyeok ran away from his omega-ness at first, but he would have been forced to contend with it sooner rather than later (and probably with lower stakes) if not for suah's interference.
it's a compelling conflict between juhyeok and suah, but suah is very much in a hell of his own making because he leveraged the tools available to him to keep juhyeok dependent on him while disregarding juhyeok's goals, wants, and feelings. some of that evidently due to trauma from an awful parent, but that's an explanation, not an excuse, and he still could have chosen differently. so I don't feel sorry for him that juhyeok doesn't want to drop everything and be with him. suah showed himself to be untrustworthy and willing to undermine juhyeok in his goals, so even though juhyeok still has a soft spot for suah, basic self-preservation dictates that he shouldn't seriously pursue a relationship with him, and that's without mentioning his identity issues, which suah has now made worse by confirming his fears about being an omega and being weak to others/unable to self-sufficient.
You certainly haven’t read my reasoning, the unintentional benefit. It may have created dependency but doesn’t change the fact it has mask a lot of the alphas smell allowing omega to do what he is doing. You’re being emotional and trying to justify your anger while I’m trying to understand different angles. It’s okay stranger. Some manhwa just tick people the wrong way, and this sounds like yours.
Your reply is so long, my mobile would barely open it.
You’re not wrong that what alpha done has domesticated omega and he doesn’t know how to deal with pheromones and heats. On the positive side, omega doesnt have to worry about pheromones and just practice Judo how he wants it. On the negative side, it creates an unwanted dependence and of course he does not opt in.
We would never see how things would have turn out if he isnt forced scented. But seeing how refresh omega feels after a session with alpha, even bad choices can sometimes bear good results even if it has side effects. I do support omega in beating up alpha and distancing himself. So far, alpha has been respectful of that.
huh, I was wondering why you only responded to part of what I said at first. sorry I overloaded your data/device, but not (that) sorry. I try to cover my bases and be as clear as possible to avoid misunderstandings, so that usually makes things wordy, especially with a complex topic like this.
I also said so much because i think the author is underplaying and minimizing the severity of the nonconsensual scenting (even though it's a crime in-universe) by not quite getting into the horrors of being physically dependent on someone else and being forced into unwanted sexual situations and sex. so a lot of people seem to think it's not that big of a deal and that there are more upsides than downsides with that. even though most of the plot so far revolves around juhyeok's problems and goals, we get a lot more about suah's personal and emotional baggage than juhyeok's, even though he's got plenty, too.
I predict that juhyeok's mom being a pharmaceutical company CEO will become relevant later and they'll figure out some way to get the benefits of the cum-smearing (ew) without having to deal with the source directly.
I just think that we should be clear about the circumstances and stakes of each character's actions, so imo every bit of negativity towards suah is justified, and there should be more of it, while a lot of the negativity towards juhyeok is overblown in comparison, and there should be less of it. if you're not inclined to be harsh towards suah, so be it, that is absolutely your prerogative.

Idk if I should hate or pity the alpha. Really. It sounds like the omega is in his pheromone predicament because of the alpha scenting him from the start. But if I look at the omega’s behavior, if alpha hasn’t done what he has been doing Omega may have crack somewhere and end himself a teen mom. Can I say, the bad thing done to omega has unintentionally benefit him more than the side effect of it, more than he thinks or is willing to accept?
