It's not the ML that changed him to omega. The fould thing suha does is scenting him after he found out he's an omega. So now Juhyeok can't control his pheromones. Ffs juhyeok came from an Alpha family. He's always been surrounded by Alphas all his life. How is him being an omega Suah's fault??
It hinted to be SuHa fault. In omegaverse ,depending on the story, usually alphas and omegas are able to control their pheromones except during rut and heat. Here the thing, in ch0 SuHa was realising them without knowing and in ch1 its explained he been exposed to an alpha pheromones. That's my interpretation but I don't think it was a casual choice from author.

Imo I don't think that chapter was hinted that Suah's releasing them without knowing. Since it only happened when he was extremely mad and it stopped immediately when Juhyeok saved him. I read that chapter as a premonition that suah is an Alpha instead of an omega which what they both were expecting him to be.
