Not really. Liking a fictional toxic character doesn't mean you're so disconnected from reality that you'd actually like that in a real life person.
Its all about context, and what's interesting and enjoyable in a story doesn't speak to one's morals in reality.

Kidding aside, I agree with you. Our taste in fiction doesn’t define who we are as people. Fiction is meant to be enjoyable, and part of that enjoyment comes from exploring complex, flawed, and even downright red flag characters.
