More like the artist wanted to end it quick lol there’s a novel and apparently they skip a lot of mc arc.
I have a feeling they did it due to lack of popularity which results to massive loss in revenue and prob didn't want to up and axe the series. Ngl, I didn't even know there was this when guideverse is one of the most popular subgenre
Once chapter 70 began, things started to progress much faster, I'm guessing it's because the author intended it to end after chapter 80 so they needed to squeeze it to fit .
10 chapters in between chapter 70-80 to act as fillers would've definitely helped to make readers feel the flow more rather than literally speedrunning the informations to reacht he end.
