You got the point
The story Hanse nim took was portraying a disturbing story, not a fairy tale love at first sight.
Although I understand where others coming from because they already knew Rian from the other story and rooting for him.
Maybe it is different if the story consist of new characters with no previously attachment to the characters.
But now, we must keep in mind this story ( with Rian in it) is not for all. If we can't handle it, we can choose to leave and move on.
Amen. Its actually intended to look uncomfortable. The paneling, the domination... Even the latest chapter, the panels turn red. Like hello? It ain't rosy pink. The fear, the submission... the threats? Hanse-nim is making us wait. She is setting the tone. She is showing us what it isnt. If it was romanticized I dont think they would be highlighting all the unpleasant stuff. I think it's actually a really bold and fearless choice to dive into the darker nuance. I like it. Its psychological...
You're getting the point wrong. The issue isn't simply that people were attached to Rian from the previous story or expected a fairy tale romance. The criticism isn't about wanting things to be softer or less disturbing. It's about whether the way the story develops and portrays this dynamic feels consistent with the character and premise that were established in season 1.
So, even if Rian was a completely new character, people could still criticize the writing choices. A story can intentionally be dark and problematic while still being critiqued for how it handles its themes, character dynamics, or progression. The fact that something is meant to be disturbing doesn't mean every execution choice is automatically beyond criticism.
And saying "if you can't handle it, leave" also misses the point. Criticism doesn't mean someone hates the story or wants it changed into something else. People can enjoy a work, understand its intentions, and still discuss what they think worked or didn't work.

Am I the only one who thinks some of u just don't understand what this story is about? Like what did u expect from a guy who bit off someone's tongue in the introduction scenery ☹ that's a crazy psycho with almost zero compassion for others, it's called bad apple, this story is literally meant to be problematic as hell and no I don't defend grapy stuff but I think Hanse-nim is actually doing a really good job with portraying how disturbing it can be, I genuinely don't think any of their scenes were meant to be hot so saying stuff like it's a turn off or something is actually what ur supposed to feel.......
