Hiii not argumentative but don't you think if the author was trying for realistic portrayal of uhh rape, why would they also romanticise their relationship as they will in the next few chapters by the end of the story all will be forgiven, nobody will even remember that they had th uncomfy noncon sex I don't think it's very realistic or safe to have the victim falling in love with their rapist as the end goal of the story of we are going for realism but that's just meee. Thanku for listening byeee
Romanticise? I did not see any romance. All I saw was two guys trying to one up each other. If people saw Romanticism, such as yourself, then obviously you missed the point. Secondly, we still don’t know what will happen at the end of the story nor what the future chapters will look like and I highly doubt anyone would forget how they had non consensual sex. Either way I still do not know what the author is going for, just stating we shall see

Guys the lack of chemistry, noncon, discomfort when looking at the situation, is THE POINT. The sex being hot objectively wouldn’t make sense at this point in their relationship. The fact the so many people are turned off means Hanse did a pretty good job of pulling it off.
This is one of those rare BLs where rape isn’t glorified but shown for the terrifying act that it is. It’s painfully realistic and not something you can brush over.
There are definitely criticisms to be had regarding the direction of the plot, how long the sex (rape) scenes have been dragging on, imbalance in the relationship, etc. But again, Lorenzo being a cold blooded rapist and Rian scared out of his mind is completely unsurprising given what we know about them. If anything, Lorenzo is being generous considering he hasn’t broken any ribs or chopped off his dick.
