I never fall in love, but I wonder do people really have unrequited feelings for 1 person alone more than 5 years? In my perspective it's seems unrealistic even though in stories it does looks beautiful and sad

Depends but it can happen for sure. Esp if you see them everyday. I used to have 1 crush for the entirety of my high school years. Lol he's also my classmate.. so.. it's kinda hard to shake off he feeling if you see them everyday.

In case you care about my personal experience, when I was in school I liked someone who was one year older than me. I was 10 years old, i thought it would go away eventually, but when he graduated, I realised I never quite got over him. Even when we failed to be something else, during those 8 years, i never stopped feeling a tangle of emotions on my belly, and the sensation of my neck burning from embarrassment every time I got a chance to speak to him; it feels very vivid in my mind. I would spend time looking for him on the recess, sometimes he would be on the last row in a parallel room and I would sit at the back so I could take a peak of his hair and back. he was very lighthearted and easy to talk to, always careful not to say the wrong thing, or that’s how it looked to me, so it got hard to even see him sometimes. so yeah, it can be possible, and I don’t know if everyone felt it the same way that I did, but it was very intense and it would fluctuate between deep love and a even deeper sense of I don’t know if I could call it loneliness or perhaps regret. love isn’t a continuous thing, it changes and transforms as time goes by
