I totally agree w/ this sentiment. I’ve read ch.1 and so far the author does at least show that the mc fought w/ the union and is against slavery, which is good. They seem to know abt the emancipation post Civil war. Hopefully they keep on doing it how they have w this chapter.
I know everyone is excited but I hope jaxx has done their research into slavery , it’s really risky to make a bl with slavery in it without being ignorant or racist . I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt because I do know she’s capable of making a good story but I dunnooooo
