It's the same Grayson, u see in the chapter itself of helping is the same way He treated Chase in mind so yeah

If you’re only focusing on this story, then of course you’ll think that way. But try reading KMIYC again. Grayson there was genuinely evil—unbelievably cruel from childhood all the way into adulthood.

Now, in this story, it feels like Zig is trying so hard to whitewash everything. He’s been turned into this stupid, clueless, emotionless guy who acts like a kid, pouting and all. It’s like there’s not even a trace of his cruelty left anymore.

I mean, the change is a complete 180. In KMIYC, you could actually feel the tension and that eerie aura whenever Grayson appeared. But here?

Yes im grayson hater in kmiyc, but I don't hate him here. I just find it weird how different this two version of Grayson

The reason he feels so different is because in kmiyc we see him from chase pov and in kml from yeonwoo's pov...we never got to see his side of the story... i won't give any spoilers but in kmiyc later on you will kind of get glimpse of dmyic Grayson ..he has always been like this from the very start

there’s no different on each other story. that just chase pov that make him look like evil but actually his story explain a lot about his behaviour.

The thing is , every novel has a different narrator so every novel has different povs . You are not reading them right if you don’t understand that . The “weird “ and “cruel” atmosphere people feel ( like Josh and Chase)in KMIYC , it’s exactly what was explained in this novel at the start . Remember the thing with the interview? . How he mimics even the gestures of the person in the video . That’s why . That smile he has on is fake . He thinks by smiling he will put people at ease . But actually smiling in horrible situations makes him seem as cruel . He still a psychopath. He was born that way . That’s the main thing in his story .
In KMIYC as a reader at first you think “is he actually serious he “wanted” to help his brother , no way “ but idk if you are manhwa only , but just in a bit more chapters Grayson actually does something that this time helps Chase . When i read the novel that was the moment that made me think , he is actually serious when he says he wants to help . Then we get the other novels ( the story of his grandfather and his parents) and there we understand why the millers can be the way they are and how badly their brain is affected by the pheromones . I do feel bad for the parents because they being through shit but knowing what they been through I can’t stand how many kids they had. There was a possibility someone like Grayson could have being born , and someone with a mental condition like Grayson is dangerous if you don’t raise him right . And they didn’t stop with the twins , they had Chase ( even though he was an accident) .

And about you thinking Zig is trying to make him a different character ,Grayson and Danes story was created first . They are the reason why her omegaverse universe exist. And it’s kind of obvious when you go back and read the millers novels in release order. Because all of them bring pieces of info that are important for this story .
