I had a feeling Sayan wasn't dead

Evil people never die that easily. He’s clearly doing better too, since he's moving around now. Also it looks like this takes place much later because Ilic's hair has gotten noticeably grayer. Poor man still hasn’t found his freedom. Maybe that's why he had that dream, cause he wants to be free more than anything.

No. Ilic was sad because of the testament, that's why he had that dream. He doesnt want Sayan to die. Of course Ilic doesn't love SaYan like the way Sayan loves him but he has come to acceptance of him being his partner for the rest of his life. Ilic said that himself.

I didn't mean that he wants Sayan dead. I meant that Sayan's death would be the only way he could truly be free, which might be why he had that dream. Even in the dream though, he was devastated. Maybe he doesn't love Sayan as intensely as Sayan loves him but there's still some kind of bond between them.
