9.1 for pedo story wow

KitsuneKazuko July 16, 2026 7:01 am

I had such high hopes for this manhwa. The art looked amazing at first glance, but what a disappointment.
Most of the time the characters' faces look ridiculous, and Muheun only looks handsome in profile.
But the biggest disappointment? It's a grooming story.
Muheun is a fucking pedo, and everyone is just fine with that.
A lot of the characters were like "wtf?" at first, and then they were just like "Okay, whatever."
Like, seriously? You want to see them fuck? Muheun literally says things like "I changed your diapers when you were a baby," "I suppose 20 is a little too young," "It felt just like when I carried you as a kid," "You're still just a kid," and then the MC says "I don't need him kissing me all over like I'm some kid he's trying to comfort." who the fuck kisses the kid all over to comfort them???
What the hell is wrong with y'all?
It would've been better if they were real brothers, with no romantic feelings involved.
Can't believe this story has such high ratings.

Excuse me, but are you sure you read it?
The drawing gets so much better (it was not even bad btw)
Muheun is a fucking pedo???? There are literally four chapters of just his point of view on this, he never had atraction for the MC when he was a minor, are you out of mind? He said not once, not twice, but a lot of times that: 1- he knew MC liked him so that's why he started to not be around so much; 2- he NEVER had romantic feelings about him when he was a minor, he also called him brother.
Idk what life you had but it's actually super normal to show affection to a kid by kissing them, it's not like they are kissing on the lips at such age.
I think you are insane, and also was a lot disrespectfull with the artist

It does get better, but their faces still look odd sometimes. The overall art is good, but those long faces are funny.
Muheun was literally obsessed with the MC from the moment he was born. After touching his hair and realizing how he felt, he decided to distance himself, not because of the MC's feelings, but because of his own.
And hello? Did we already forget the scene where Muheun and the MC's sister were talking about the MC's potential girlfriends, and Muheun got visibly jealous and upset? Open your eyes and read it more carefully.
And dafuq are you talking about my life and kissing children? The MC says Muheun kisses him all over now that he's an adult, but compares it to how Muheun used to treat him as a kid. That's literally grooming behaviour. Hello.
You're calling me insane, but you're the one who's fucking blind.

i havent read this yet but i find it so disturbing when idiots throw around the term "pedo" whenever their is an age gap, or mc is drawn to look younger.

Paedophile has a very specific definition legally (and in psychology), and using it as an accusation when they feel offended does damage to actual victims. It is a serious accusation and shouldn't be thrown around lightly.

Or is every accusation a confession about how they see things and their own psychology. Do they see children as sexual beings and jump to such conclusions?

I did find the kdrama like The guardian distasteful because he knew her when she was a child, and kind of raised her, she also acted so childishly/childlike with him. But even then no moral laws (he did not groom her) or legal laws were broken.

I didn't use that term because of the age gap. I used it because there are a lot of moments that just don't feel or look right, yet everyone seems to be fine with them, and that's disturbing. You haven't even read the story, yet you've already decided that I'm wrong.

Muheun has been obsessed with the MC since the MC was born. He saw their future together the moment he met the MC as an infant. Despite that, he continued to be touchy-feely with him. And sure, he was only ten when he saw that vision of their future, but once he became an adult, he still had this bizarre need to stay close to the MC, which is gross. The story repeatedly uses flashbacks to their childhood to emphasise Muheun's longing, and it's unsettling.

Knowing they were destined to end up together, Muheun remained a constant presence throughout the MC's childhood. He's protective, physically affectionate, and always by his side.

Their sexual relationship officially begins right after the MC comes of age. Framing a romance around a character who has been fixated on someone since they were a baby is basically grooming.

But children do love innocently. They want to marry their parents or their friends. They dont view that object of love in a sexual manner (unless they have been sexually assaulted).
And as a child grows older and becomes a teenager, they can still love a much younger child and be affectionate towards a much younger child - and really most teenagers will not have any sexual attraction towards that child.

ML does sound obsessive over MC but that does not make him a paedophile. Did he sexually touch mc? Did he force mc when he was underage?

I would find the framing of a romance unpleasant if they met when one of the characters was an adult and the other was only a child. But it would not be paedophilia unless there was rape or sexual assault (child or minor cant consent).

Pedophilia is sexual attraction to children and its an illness. I dont think they can control that. When its acted upon, its a criminal issue. I imagine that most peadophiles wont seek help and treatment to not commit offenses (with the stigma and hysteria, would you if you were a paedophile? ) and this is a problem for society.

I already told you that and explained the specific moments from the story, which you haven't even read. What's with the psychology course? I don't need you to lecture me. I understand all of that perfectly well.

Read the story first, then join the discussion.

This story contains unambiguous grooming elements. That's it.

The story literally explains the situations when he distance himself. The first one was because he grew obsessed with protecting him, even more when their siblings died at the accident. Second one is because MC was liking him. And how this is grooming when he didn't do anything that suggested to MC to do things with sexual thoughts?
Of course he thinks that, Muheun protected him all of his life and never actually showed him anything about liking him when he was a minor?? I think you can find it strange, yes, but say these are pedo or grooming activities... You said to the another girl that you understood all of that really well, but that's not true.
And obsessed by him since he was born, well, you trully didn't read the same story as me lol because that shit explains very well why he grows so close to MC even after the images he saw.
"Knowing they were destined to end up together, Muheun remained a constant presence throughout the MC's childhood." You see him explain very well that he didn't thought about being a couple, right?

You're ignoring my points and keep defending the grooming behaviour as if it wasn't there. Again: the story repeatedly uses flashbacks to their childhood to emphasise Muheun's longing, and it's unsettling. That is not okay. His conversation with the MC's sister, his jealousy, and his knowledge of their future together. All of it is disturbing and unsettling.

Why did you skip the rest of my comment? Stop cherry-picking the parts of the story that make him seem like a better person. He's a groomer.

I don't want to continue this discussion. I see what I see, and if you don't, whatever. Take care.

I will read the story but i wont bother discussing anything more with you. Its your personal decision how you choose to feel and view things.

But you should ask yourself why you are projecting - why are you seeing and imagining a sexual relationship and grooming (the average person wouldn't jump to that conclusion) when there is none (as per other readers).

Jesus, who is projecting what exactly.
You haven’t read this story, don’t now shit about the plot and now you’re diagnosing me.
I shared my opinion, gave you examples and suddenly I’m a pedo. That’s just wonderful.
Please don’t reply to me anymore, you’re not sane.

I understand you for feeling this way. I did too when it was first revealed that muheun knew mc since he was a literal child. But I am sort of biased towards the author of this story so I didn't give up and read it through.
Likely, i realised after reading that when mc was a kindergartener, muheun realised from his vision that mc and Muheun have their fates intertwined. But he still didn't think it was in a romantic typa way. Later when MC's siblings died, Muheon, due to both his guilt and knowing the fact that their fates are intertwined(still not knowing it's romantic) because overly protective over Mc. And finally, when the mc was in middle school, the mc first had feelings for muheun and when Muheun realised it and also realised that he too had feelings for mc, he RAN AWAY. Knowing that this is taboo, he tried his absolute best to keep himself away from mc. They only got together and did stuff AFTER the mc was past 20.
So in conclusion, though it might've been very VERY close indeed, Muheun is not actually a groomer.
The MC started to have feelings for Muheun during the period when Muheun was still guilt ridden about the death of MC's siblings and became overprotective of him(not cause he had feelings for an elementary kid).

But at the same time, to be honest, I like that you are self aware enough to call it out. But still, although it's a close bar, Muheun really didn't groom mc

    Mirai July 18, 2026 7:28 pm

Yes, it is undeniable that Muheun had feelings for MC since he was a middle schooler. And this very fact made him feel disgusted and so he distanced himself from the MC. He tried his best to avoid his feelings and therefore, avoided mc until mc reached out to him after turning into an adult. Even then, Muheun had the same guilt and disgust within himself so though he was close enough to want to protect him, he was still far enough to avoid mc.

    Empress July 18, 2026 7:47 pm

Wow so I realised this chain of comments got quite long, but I just wanted to tell you that 1) you're totally right and 2) I still love this story. You're right about the pedo inuendo, especially when he gets jealous of the mc's girlfriends, and how he changed his diapers and such.
However, I also think it must've felt weird for him getting a vision of himself and the mc together, after just meeting him (aka when he was a newborn). Like, imagine coming to meet a baby and then just seeing ur future together and you're dating. I'd feel pretty weird. Overall, I think we all have different tolerance types when it comes to certain "themes" in stories. For example, I can't stand rape, and I immediately drop a story if I know the ml rapes the mc, but I'm more easygoing when it comes to stories with incest and pedo inuendos, like this one.

I fricken really hate the back of their hair lines. Why does it come sooooo far down their neck? It drives me nuts

    MurasakiChou July 19, 2026 12:27 am

I'm simply adding my two cents, even though most people already highlighted the main points.

By definition according to legal terms:
“Grooming is when a person builds a relationship with a child, young person, or an adult who's at risk so they can abuse them and manipulate them into doing things.
The abuse is usually sexual or financial, but it can also include other illegal acts.”

So it's intentional and premeditated; the aggressor knows exactly what he's doing, and the goal is always to abuse.

    And according do the DSM:

“pedophilic disorder, a psychosexual disorder, generally affecting adults, characterized by sexual interest in prepubescent children or attempts to engage in sexual acts with prepubescent children.
The DSM-5 further stipulates that the interest or behaviour in question must be present for at least six months for clinical diagnosis, and the affected individual must be at least 16 years of age and at least 5 years older than the child (or children) at the centre of the individual’s sexual fantasies.”

Even though this is a fantasy story, I will apply our world rules on this topic.

This clearly does not define Muheon. Yes, they have a huge age gap, yes the ML saw the MC grow up, but like mentioned before there are no romantic feelings involved up until MC is in middle school (who starts crushing on ML), and definitely no sexual interest until they are adults; up until this point ML is obsessed with him but more like a big brother protecting his younger brother. When he notices MC has a crush on him, and he himself is getting ambiguous feelings (which he first thought were caused by his guilt and his sense of duty in protecting the MC) he distances himself.

You might be uncomfortable with the age gap or how they grew up together, and you have the right to your opinion, but this is not a relationship built through grooming, nor is it pedophilia (since they get together only when both are adults).

It's okay dear. Tbh, it's way better that the thought of 'probable' pedophilia triggered you.
And I would've had the exact same opinion as yours if I hadn't read the previous works of the author and been a fan of them.
