basically dohyun has known wooyeon’s mom since he was a child because he lived in an orphanage that she sponsored and he caught her eye since he was the most behaved child there. she kept in contact with him and asked him to be wooyeon’s tutor when he was older/also asked him to keep her updated on wooyeon throughout the tutor sessions. wooyeon finds this out and is extremely distraught bc he thinks their entire relationship was simply because his mom asked dohyun to look after him (which is obv not true bc dohyun loves wooyeon so much and his feelings came naturally without the mom involved once they met again in college) but anyways… they break up for a bit because of this and dohyun does his best to prove to wooyeon that he loves him and explains that he wanted to tell him sooner about his relationship with wooyeon’s mom but was scared to disappoint him
