not influence but maybe mirror
Oh I love this idea of the mirror so much! Especially when you consider how similar and different their approaches are to their sound! They both hold the power to be soft and to be sharp and know how and when to wield it. It also kinda suggests inherently this idea of the inner, like Garam and Heejae may not outwardly seems like mirrors of each other to others/the world bc of how different they are in their sound and repertoire and their positions in society (the intense volatile Romantics that Heejae loves and is so good at along with him being Garam’s mentor/professor vs the quicksilver, fractured, ephemeral Impressionists that are Garams’s natural inclination and him being a student/protégée), but if we continue the mirror metaphor when they look into it they see each other inside them, in a view only they can have/understand. While outwardly not bearing a resemblance, internally knowing that they hold significant pieces/influence of each other. These pieces of each other come up in important moments both professionally and personally! Their enmeshment is depicted so intricately it’s beautiful

jokes aside, id dog on heejae for his violent approach to sex, but I guess it somehow balances out because of garams masochistic tendencies.i also wonder if their music styles influence the way they have sex. It was mentioned before that heejaes playing is electrifying, seductive, and intense, whereas garams is more careful and gentle. but just as garam was able to see the softness and the underlying sadness in heejae’s playing, does he see that same vulnerability during sex and just as heejae sees himself reflected in garams sound, does he also recognize that beneath garams soft, careful touches there’s still a need for rawness and intensity. im just rambling now but I’ve been thinking about it
