Why? She's not related to him. Her daughter is. There is nothing that ties them together. You don't have to like it personally but there isn't anything illegal or immoral about it?
They never met until now, he's a grown man, so is she. Nor was she ever involved with his actual family.
She was just a common woman he took advantage of. It's not like she met his family or they were married or spent years around them.
It might be different if she had actually been apart of the family but she wasn't.
Right now it's only her that knows, she doesn't seem to have a problem with it other than not wanting her daughter to know her actual origins.
Not illegal yes, ofc i know theyre not bloodrelated. But she has confirmation now how her daughter Anna, and Franz are actual cousins. I wouldnt say they're just strangers atp. And to add, didnt she immediately see the resemblance (blond hair+ blue eyes) and the playboy attitude with the trashy father she supposedly abhorred so much.
Overall, just not my cup of tea. I dont find them cute together

I'd still say that is strangers tho. If I brought some random adult man up to you and said "this is your nephew but not by blood or marriage" you'd just shrug lol. If you met him with no one telling you, you wouldn't even know.
There isn't anything that actually ties them together other than her daughter has blood relation to him. But that's still by only half.
We also should think about the setting of the story. It was not uncommon to marry far off cousins.
You as a modern person who probably has a close tie to extended family would see it weird. Like yeah I wouldn't date my uncle even though we have no blood relation.
But in this story there is honestly zero reason for them to have any conflict about it.
The only conflict here is how the uncle will behave when he realizes he has a daughter and how she will react to knowing her father isn't her father.
Think of it this way, its a historical period where 2nd cousin used to get married and it was pretty common in villages. After scientist started to discover doing incest caused genetic mutations only then it started to lessen. Again, if you were not told by ppl around you that it was weird, you wouldve done it too at that time. Lets just treat the story as fiction and move on

I dont rlly want Franz and the mom to get together. There'd be such an awkward dynamic to be overcome! Anna and Franz are cousins so it'd be weird to be her new "stepfather".
I rlly hope it stays as a onesided crush on a mature attractive woman. As it stands, we havent seen the mom blush at anything and i hope it stays that way...
