It's not overreacting. We talking about one person doing a lot of work as a translator, editor, etc, that could get in trouble for this.

So yeah, it's important to be mindful about that. It's doesn't matter if other websites exists or whatever.

We don't know how the author will react, maybe they won't care, maybe they will and nothing will happen. But best it's always gatekeep and not share.

We know since it has already happened. They haven't posted about it or done anything about it just blocked the user and moved on... we'll be okay

yeah i'd be crushed if it got DMCA'd but i think that's really the worst thing that could happen. i would certainly prefer it if it was gatekept and shared in private. i don't want BDK to have to see it either. i'm doing this because i love their work and want to share it with everyone, but the culture around copyright is much different in korea and most authors hate to see it happening regardless of the lack of official translations. so if everyone could just try to be a little more lowkey about it, it would be great. this is stressing me out a bit and taking away from the work i planned on doing for today's chapters too lol

Yeah everyone should be more low-key also i think you can private your user when uploading chapters maybe that way your identity won't be out there

It's always best to gatekeep, not matter if the site is very well know and easy to find.
But don't be stressed please because this is actually kinda a good talk? ... to remind new and old readers to be more careful about what they do on social media and be more lowkey about it.
