it sucks because size and physique differences are hot, but the childishness (plausibly deniable pedo-baiting) that ends up happening for a lot of bottoms is soooo not it. :/
my hypothesis is that it's an unfortunate consequence or byproduct of artists exaggerating the "key points" and "cuteness" of twinks when the appeal of them is primarily "youthful androgyny", "boyishness" or being a "pretty boy" (emphasis on boy). so it comes with the territory, kind of.
it's also heavily dependent on the art style and how the artist creates contrast between the twink and other characters/their love interests. not sure what you look for in a twink otherwise, but I like it when it's evident that a character is an adult/mature and not too cutesy.
...now I'm second-guessing myself on what characters count as twinks in the first place, so sorry if these don't fit what you're looking for.

like imo why is every bl that has a twink as the ml or mc small like a child.I just need reccs where the mc isnt a small child twink (when theyre suppose to be like 18+) and theyre not a damsel in distress. I see this enough in shoujo
