The problem with y’all is that you’re trying to read and understand a historical story with modern expectation if you look at the times of the setting Maxi is living like a queen, yes y’all expect Riftain to do every little thing she wants all in the name or woman’s rights and equality but that’s not how things worked back then♀ honestly I genuinely appreciate him for her coz he has good intentions, I’m seeing where he’s coming from and I get it♀who tf would want his wife to go and strip all her dignity in front of people ? Y’all want him to easily agree to letting her go and do the very thing she feared most up until recently?? Y’all are mad and clearly have never experienced anything like this, I’d rather die than have to stand in front of people and talk about all the abuse I’ve experienced in life and a husband as protective as Riftain would be great actually.
